Making Memories

Welcome to the Beverly Tree Farm.  Our farm is located in North Beverly on 27 acres of flat, fertile soil and is bordered by the Longham Reservoir and the Wenham Woods.   We purchased the farm from the Johnson Family in 1999.

For over 30 years the Johnson Family operated it as a choose and cut Christmas tree farm but it had been in decline the last few years before we purchased it and the only remaining trees were too big to sell. At that time, we did not have specific plans for the property except that we wanted to keep it as open space as long as we could.

We decided planting trees might be fun and also help us preserve this beautiful piece of land. We planted our first 1500 trees in 2000. During the next nine years we continued clearing land, laying out rows, and planting trees. Today we have over 14,000 trees in various stages of growth and we opened for the first time last year.

We offer Balsam Fir, Fraser Fir, Douglas Fir and Norway Spruce.  All our trees are sheared, shaped, and regularly cared for, and can take 6-12 years to become the tree you select for your home.

There is plenty of parking onsite.  After you check in at the barn to obtain your tag, take a walk out to the open field to select your tree. After you cut down your tree with the saw we provide (or bring your own…no chain saws please!), drag it to the end of the row and our trailer will pick up your tree and bring it back to the baling station, where we will wrap it for travel. While we bale your tree, take your tag to the cashier in the barn and warm up. Enjoy our fire and have some hot cocoa or cider. When you are ready to go, drive up to the loading area and retrieve your tree. We provide twine for securing your tree to your car.

Christmas is certainly a special time for our family and we have wonderful memories of spending an afternoon choosing and cutting OUR special tree. We hope you will come make your own memories with us this holiday season.

Our very best wishes for a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, and a prosperous 2012!
